Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez appeared in a press conference, after losing El Clásico 3-2 in the 32nd round of the Spanish League.

The coach said: “We performed well. Yes, it is true that individual mistakes cost us defeat, but I think the team performed quite well. We deserved to win, but this is football.”

He added: "Yesterday I said that I hoped the referee would do a good job, and today I think he was not successful. I will not talk about the arbitration. Everyone saw what happened. If I talk, I will be punished."

He added: "The lack of goal-line technology is a shame. The league, which we consider to be the best league in the world, does not have goal-line technology! Everyone saw that, the ball crossed the goal line."

He stressed: "Barcelona has an excellent present and an exceptional future. There will be many successes in the future. We have a young generation, and they will create an era in the future."

He continued: "Staying in Barcelona? Now is not the right time to talk about this matter. We must work, and already think about the next match, and continue, as there are still 6 matches remaining."

He concluded: “The second half was good with high pressure. After the second goal, we needed to be calmer. I am proud of the team, but this loss makes things difficult. I repeat: we were subjected to arbitration injustice.”
