Spanish club Real Madrid is preparing to prepare contracts to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe next January.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca", Real Madrid told Mbappe to prepare contracts to sign next January to officially join in the upcoming summer transfer period.

The 25-year-old striker's contract expires at the end of the current season and he has the right to sign with any club next January.

The newspaper reported that Mbappe has a desire to sign for Real Madrid and is ready to do so in January, and indeed a specific day in January has been agreed upon for the signing.

According to press reports, the Royal Club told Mbappe that it will not wait for him as long as previous times, as the deadline for the offer is January 15 of next year.

Mbappe was frequently linked to a move to Real Madrid, most notably in the summer of the 2022 season when he was very close to signing for the Royal Club, but French President Emmanuel Macron intervened in order to pressure him to stay in France for reasons related to the World Cup that was held in Qatar.

Mbappe participated in 22 matches with the French capital club and was able to score 21 goals and make two goals during the current season.
